Virtual events
I began developing virtual events whilst employed at the University of Edinburgh. 6Connex, an American-based online events provider, offered me a job after seeing my work with their platform. I am currently contracting with a company that uses the online events platform Bizzabo.
I have developed a wealth of skills, including setting up events, streaming video set-up knowledge, modifying the basic code of events using .css, and troubleshooting common issues.
Event recording
Click on the film below to watch an event I developed on the 6Connex platform in 2020 (no sound). I created all aspect of the graphic design and build, as well as organising streaming for the live and recorded events. EIE bought together investors and tech start-up companies annually, in 2020, as the height of the pandemic, the entire event pivoted from real-world to virtual in a matter of weeks.
Event brochure
I also wrote, designed and published an online brochure to accompany the virtual event:
Event marketing and branding
Designed an advert for publication in The Scotsman (in a full-colour supplement). As each EIE participant had to be photographed separately, I designed foam icons for each category of the event and a pull-up banner to give unified branding to the photographs.
